ISWAN work to promote and support the welfare of seafarers all over the world. As well as operating a 24-hour helpline as a direct service for seafarers, we also run a number of other projects and campaigns in support of seafarers' welfare. This project migrated their site from Joomla CMS to Craftcms with a fresh design to engage key audiences in engaging. The site has been opened up to content sponsorship of sections so industry partners can support ISWAN's vital work and engage in mutual promotion.

As in all rebuild projects there can be additional overhead for clients in maintaining old and new press and news releases in two places. We pride ourselves and smoothing content owners admin processes and in this case supplied the client with a one click import of old-but-live site news items that took the headache away of maintaining two sites in the build process.

Edit once - appear twice

Also on this project we took their main resources content and created an api feed of the SHIP content for reuse on their flagship project site so they only have to edit the content in one place and can guarantee that its reuse on their other site SeafarerHelp will always have the latest edits and documents.

With extensive use of leading imagery and optimisations for mobile this long awaited refresh gives ISWAN a new and easy to manage site to be proud of.

We’re really pleased with the new website Craftcode has designed for us. It’s a creative design which has rejuvenated our brand’s online presence and significantly improved the user experience. We’ve had lots of positive feedback from members and supporters who have enjoyed using the site and like the attractive new design
